FROM CONFERENCE HISTORY:

The first conference was organized by Transport & Logistics Departments of University of Gdansk in May 1992. In the period 1992-1999 the conferences were focused on „The problems of Polish inclusion to the European transport system”. The main topics covered integration and transformation of transport systems in the different European countries as well as present transport policy problems. Towards the Polish preparation to the EU membership, in 2000-2006 the main idea of debates was focused on ”Adaptation of Polish transport to the European Union”. Latest XVI International Conference under the title INTRALOG 2007 „New trends in transport and logistics. Symbiosis of transport and ecology-quality approach” was held in June 2007.
 

CONFERENCE AIMS:

- Exchange of views and discussions on the contemporary trends in transport & logistics development;
- Promoting the results of transport research and discussion on the new research directions;
- Integration of scientists and practitioners.
 

CONFERENCE TOPICS:

1. Ecological challenges for transport – contemporary economy issues (trends in economy and sustainable development, sustainable development in view of economic recession);
2. Theory and practise of sustainable transport development issues (sustainable transport development strategies in urban areas, pro-ecological ideas in transport and transport policy, methods and tools for transport external costs internalisation, promotion of pro-ecological behaviours in transport);
3. Pro-ecological solutions as supporting measures in sustainable transport development (alternative fuels, improvements in transport energy efficiency, intelligent transport systems, reforming transport charges, sources of innovation financing);
4. Environmental innovations in the contemporary economy...

Abstract submission (max. 250 words) 28.02.2009

Acceptance of abstract 15.03.2009

Full paper submission (max. 12 pages) 30.04.2009

Registration. Registration form is available on the website of conference 30.04.2009

Payment 30.04.2009

Papers accepted by the Conference Scientific Committee will be published in the working papers of University of Gdansk: “Zeszyty Naukowe UG Ekonomika Transportu Lądowego”.

Attention: Abstracts and papers should be submitted only in electronic format and sent via e-mail at: til@gnu.univ.gda.pl  with subject INTRALOG 2009 in heading. Editor’s requirements are available on the website of conference.
 

PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS

1. Conference fee is 600 PLN (about 150 Euro) including participation in conference, conference materials and additional events.
2. Conference will be held at the Conference and Teaching Centre of the University of Gdansk, Piaskowa 9, Sopot.
3. The trip and accommodation costs are covered by participants. Conference Office offers help in hotel booking.
