The division is an independent scientific and didactic unit of the Faculty of Economics since 1996. Initially it was called Marine Transport Market and Maritime Policy, and since 2001 the Department of Global Economy. In 2005, the Department of Economics of Enterprise and Marketing was incorporated into the structure of the Division of Global Economy.
